This Limited Edition Amedeo Modigliani Fountain Pen has been created by Montegrappa as part of their Genio Creativity collection. A collection designed to celebrate those who change our perceptions of the world through a new idea or piece of art.
Montegrappa has created a collection of writing instruments that celebrate Amedeo Modigliani - the genius who discomposed the principles of portraits.This beautiful blue resin and pink gold fountain pen is just one from the collection. The neat line of the pen pays homage to the essentiality of his search for plasticity. The shaft and the cap are oval-shaped like the faces of his portraits and the clip is long and uneven like his noses. The cap ring has the characteristic irregular shape of the lips he painted.
Modigliani’s distinctive feature, the firm and vibrating brushstrokes that marked every painting of his, has been reproduced with the help of the precious resin these creations are made of. The deep blue colour is prominent in many of his portraits and complemented perfectly by the rose gold trim. The excellence of his contribution to the history of art lies in the 18 carat gold nib on which one of Modì’s studies of heads is engraved.
Genio Creativo is the collection of writing instruments in a limited edition that Montegrappa dedicates to the genius of those who, by means of their own creativity and passion, have created an object whose perfection became a source of inspiration in turn. The cap of the pen identifies the collection with the Montegrappa logo and the solitary stone. The stone is a symbol of the uniqueness of the genius - in this case, a diamond.
