So you remember our arrival of the Sekford Watches Type 1A collection? The London brand is achieving their goal in getting the name out there to the general public. The name is inspired by Sekforde Street in London which was an area that had the world’s most important watch-making hubs.
The Type 1A watch was inspired by the fine lettering and the clarity of white space that was found on the old English pocket-watch dials.
The founder was motivated to create the collection because he himself was looking for a dress watch under £1000.00 and was unsuccessful so he went into partnership with two co-founders and together they developed a small collection which is now expanding. Each watch is made from the finest materials including English bridle and English shell cordovan leather, and the face is Swiss made by one of the country’s most established manufacturers ensuring high quality assembling.
Each watch we stock ranges from £695-£795 and we have six designs ranging in different colours but all embracing a sophisticated yet simplistic look.
Each watch is unique to the user as on the back of each face there is a unique serial number authenticating the watch as a genuine Sekford. The Sekford logo of a fox is an English Gothic Revival engraving cut by specialist Mark Wilkinson. Each watch comes inside a minimalistic designed long watch box which holds the timepiece firmly in place accompanied with a certificate of warranty.
