Aspinal of London have proudly announced a design collaboration with Michelle Dockery, who is one of Britain’s most celebrated and admired actresses; best known for her role in the hit TV series ‘Downton Abbey’. The original inspiration for the collection was a coveted vintage handbag owned by Michelle’s grandmother. The memory of this handbag she fondly admired as a young girl was the influence for the collection with Aspinal.

The Dockery collection features a series of beautiful handbags and scarves that evoke timeless classics embracing vintage with a contemporary twist. There are two silhouettes for the handbag range in the choice of small or large in a series of various colour ways. Including the iconic Aspinal deep shine mock croc Bordeaux and vintage black with a few of her own colour palettes which are a softer and are more understated such as dusky rose pinks, soft taupe, chanterelle and a distinctive peacock blue adding a traditional vintage look to any bag.

This collection is so versatile because of the colour scheme and the actual style of the handbag; they can be worn for both day and night attire all including an additional detachable cross body strap that clips onto the top for the more day time look or hands free look. In the collection you have the traditional ‘Dockery’ but also the ‘Dockery Snap Bag’ which are two completely different shapes and also have different opening mechanisms. The snap bag is in the title it snaps back together to keep everything secure inside; whereas the classic Dockery is split into two halves which both open separately.
