Aspinal of London S/S18 New Releases

Aspinal of London S/S18 New Releases

Delighted to announce Aspinal of London's new spring/summer 2018 collection is slowly arriving at Wheelers; in-store and online perfect for brightening up your wardrobe for the warmer months. The collection has been based around Aspinal of London's collaboration that took place earlier on last year (2017) with Fox's all new adaptation of the classic Agatha Christie novel, Murder on the Orient Express.

This beautiful collection features the Hat Bag which is an iconic accessory from the 19th century and became very popular around that time for transporting headgear. Most commonly known as the 'Hat Box', these box's were usually large and would fit one or two hats inside following the outline of the hat. Aspinal of London have created a handbag following the 19th century fashion of the hat box only downsized embracing a dainty vintage looking gem that sits on your arm. This design was inspired by the collaboration on the new version of the 1974 classic 'Murder on the Orient Express'. This design is already in popular demand having only been on the shelves a couple of weeks of its release date.

The hat bag comes in a variety of different colours and styles individually fitting the user. We currently have the mock croc style popular to many of our customer and providing a different texture and style of leather; this is available in black and lilac the new statement colour for spring/summer.

The Orient Express for those who aren't aware of it is a train; called the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express luxury train, it is a work of art in itself and a true Art Deco icon.

New colours to be revealed for spring/summer 18 are the lilac as previously mentioned, Dahlia red which is a beautiful coral orange colour taking inspiration from the Mexican flower. Camel a tonal colour incorporated into most of Aspinal of London's collection only this time available in suede and mock lizard. Mixed with the camel there is the new ivory colour which is mostly presented in the mock croc leather. Another favourite of ours is the beautiful tortoise shell effect patent leather brand new to Aspinal of London embracing a shimmery brown colour with black marbled in. The tortoise shell design goes back to further than the 1970's this was when it was actually banned as then real tortoise shells were used for interiors; back in the day it was a very prestigious material and very expensive which is why today when used today the tortoise effect gives you the expensive look and feel-perfect for an Aspinal of London handbag. Another patent leather used for S/S18 is the cherry patent leather embracing a beautiful deep rich burgundy red, now you say burgundy/ox-blood is more of a autumnal colour, well we don't believe this statement because mixed with pale blue or pale pink or even ivory this colour can really stand out and make a statement in summer. Last but not least is the taupe a all year favourite for nude lovers everywhere; I know this is a favourite of mine and I already have a style in mind on my own purchase list. The colour comes in the popular mock croc leather embracing many different styles of handbags and accessories like all previous colours.

Each piece is made from the finest materials embracing elegant styles that feature delicate detailing; polished hardware, bold colour combinations with contemporary twists that evoke an aura of sophistication.

The 'lilac' comes in a variety of different style just like all the colours in the S/S18 collection and our buyers have bought key items from Aspinal of London to ensure our customers are indulged in luxury for a lifetime of happiness. The 'Hat Bag' is included in the lilac for those wanting to incorporate a blast from the past vintage look into their wardrobe; but for those who aren't and simply love the springtime colour there are a variety of choices. The well known 'Marylebone' tote in the mini size, the 'Mayfair' in my opinion the perfect day to day bag with signature shield lock and back by popular demand the 'Portobello'.

Dahlia is a brand new colour to Aspinal of London inspired by the 'Dahlia' flower most commonly grown in Mexico. The coral colour adds a spruce of vibrancy to your wardrobe and available in a variety of handbags and accessories. Above are a small selection of our personal favourites to give you a guideline of what's in-store (pun not intended). The 'Mount Street' backpack is a mini backpack perfect for carrying a small amount of daily essentials if you aren't a handbag kind of girl; having said that backpacks have recently became the go to bag seen in Vogue, Cosmopolitan and the top Fashionista sites. The Aspinal of London classic saddle bag is among the collection featured here in the dahlia saffiano. Drum roll...The 'Lottie' of course is making a reappearance, it wouldn't be an Aspinal of London collection without this little beauty in it. And as part of the Essential collection one of Aspinal's cosmetic pouches has made our top picks purely for its versatile use, this little pouch yes can be used for carrying cosmetics and toiletries but if you think outside the box it could work as a clutch, or for separating essentials inside your larger Aspinal of London handbag, a pencil case for those art fanatics, you could store hair accessories inside and the list goes on...

As previously discussed the camel a tonal colour perfect for everyday use and contrasts unbelievably well with any colour under the sun. This warm colour has been mixed with another popular colour in the collection, the ivory. This mix only appears with a select few of the items in the collection so if this is a favourite of yours or is tempting you then purchase quickly before the style sells out. In the camel there is the 'Hepburn' which has been transformed and redefined embracing a similar domed shape but different in the sense of the construction of the bag. There is also the large sized 'Lottie' which in this colour it does come in the smaller size but instead of smooth or textured leather the camel colour is a soft suede. In the mix between camel and ivory there is the extremely on-trend and popular 'Mini Trunk' worn by many celebs including Taylor Swift, Donna Air, Ashley James and Pixie Lott. There also many accessories for daily use including purse and travel accessories.

One for true nude lovers is the taupe which is a personal favourite, this is a colour to go with any colour and perfect for those springtime and summery occasions. Whether your going to a christening, garden part, wedding or birthday this colour is a go to for the warmer months. I this this colour is very versatile because you could feed this into your autumn/winter wardrobe as a transition shade. The mock croc leather just adds the cherry on top of the cake with this colour adding a deep shine. Available in the 'Continental' purses, the 'Essential' flat pouch all well known by Aspinal of London and then new to Aspinal from the end of 2017 is the 'Chelsea' a stunning mix of structured leather and gold polished hardware. This handbag is stunning and by all means rather small so if you carry a fair amount then this one isn't for you due to it's clutch like size. The Chelsea has two sides which open up for you to place your belongings. If you are like me and want something you can use for everyday use and then transition into night time wear then this is perfect because it is small enough to use at night and great for carrying a phone, card case and a lipstick. I would wear the bag personally with the strap in the day and fold it inside at night. Some may say it is too glam for the day but nothing is too glam!

This deep rich red colour is brand new to Aspinal named 'Cherry', the colour comes in patent leather for a different surface texture and comes in the form of the mini 'Eaton, one of Aspinal's popular heart shaped coin purses and following the heart fashion; a keyring and the 'Continental' purse. The colour has a slight shimmer to it adding a girly touch. Pair with pale pink or blue for contrast even ivory would add that summery look you desire.

...And last but not least is a brand new type of leather that Aspinal have incorporated into their collection; the 'Tortoise Shell' I am in ore of this design; there are no words to describe it except simply stunning. This expensive looking effect in the leather originates from before the 1970's when tortoise shells were actually used in the process of design adding a luxurious touch before being banned in the 70's. These accessories designed by Aspinal of London will make a statement in your wardrobe and will soon become an essential to you that you can't be without. The mix of tan, orange and almost black/brown marbled together to create the same effect tortoise shells used to make.

Aspinal of London's promise to their customers is that they will receive something so beautiful, elegant and refined of superior quality that will last a lifetime, we here at Wheelers trust in this and embark on passing these fundamental aspects to our own customers.
