Who is Smile Plastics, I hear you ask?

Smile Plastics creates sustainable materials and products from 'wasted' plastics, both post-consumer and post-industrial. Smile Plastics is committed to creating stylish, high-quality products with only recycled plastics. Smile Plastics hand-crafts their own supersized panels for retail, architecture, interiors and product design by adding their artistic flair to the repurposed plastics. Smile Plastics homes in on repurposing single-use plastics to disrupt the unsustainable industrial ecosystems that have become the norm whereby finite and useful materials have very short, single lives.

Montegrappa’s Elmo Ambiente collection is available in three different artisanal finishes: Charcoal, Ocean and Kaleido. Each finish tells a different story.

Elmo Ambiente Charcoal is a blend of different single-use pharmaceutical and food packaging. Elmo Ambiente Ocean is composed of unsustainable single-use plastic water bottles. The beautiful multicoloured mosaic finish for the Elmo Ambiente Kaleido is a blend of discarded cosmetics.

The Elmo Ambiente collection is Montegrappa’s first-ever range made from fully recycled resin. The translucent castings give subtle hints into the plastics' former life. The tiny flecks of foil, barcode fragments and other curios lend each segment to its own unique fingerprint.

The Elmo Ambiente collection comes with a case, pouch and notebook, all made from repurposed materials.
