Elegant and floral spirit is the real backbone of the Glenmorangie 'The Original' range. This ten year old single malt is produced by mixing the intricate spirit that emerges from Scotland's tallest stills, with first and second fill American white oak casks.The 'Original' sits for ten years maturing in ex-bourbon casks such as Glenmorangie's famous slow-grown and air-dried 'designer casks' from Missouri. This amazing spirit develops a perfect balance between sweetness and complexity. Perfect for enjoying at any time, Glenmorangie's 'The Original' is soft, mellow and creamy.
Aroma
The scent of citrus and ripening peaches is softened by the faint aroma of vanilla.Taste
First, the vanilla is detected on the tongue before it ripples along the palate bringing a burst of flowery fruitiness.
Finish
About a minute after tasting, you will be left with a clean and salving aftertaste with hints of orange and peach.
