This Doué 145 Classique fountain pen has been designed as part of Montblanc's latest Meisterstück collection - Around the World in 80 Days (AW80D). The AW80D collection has been inspired by Jules Verne's French 1873 novel. This Doué Classique fountain pen takes you on the journey Phileas Fogg went on; from London to Bombay via Italy and Egypt.
This Doué Classique Montblanc fountain pen has a blue barrel crafted out of translucent lacquer. The translucent lacquer barrel features a degradé effect from dark to light to dark blue shades. The cap has been crafted out of platinum-coated metal with engraved elements from the novel; ocean waves, card suits and a steamboat. The length of the journey has been captured from the cap top all the way down to the cone. This Doué Classique fountain pen has an 18 K gold nib with the engraving of a hot air balloon and the start and finish dates of the journey. Refill this Doué Classique fountain pen with Montblanc ink cartridges or ink with the help of a piston converter.
Upon purchase, this Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days fountain pen can be engraved on the platinum-coated clip with your chosen characters. On the day of purchase, your new fountain pen will be presented inside a bespoke Montblanc gift box and issued with a 2-year guarantee booklet.
