Rustic looking, this beautiful pen designed by Montegrappa is part of the Heartwood collection. Heartwood pays homage to the most Italian of values: a love of organic materials and the gifts of Mother Nature. In the collection there are three sorts of pens, this particular one is a ballpoint made from reddish carved polished pear wood and bronze. Pear wood is one of the most popular woods recognised by Italian woodworkers; it has a distinctive grain and colour. Heartwood pens remind us that – even in an age of wireless communications and high-tech materials – handwriting with instruments fashioned from elements provided by nature will always embody the essence of humanity. The ballpoint pen has a twist mechanism releasing the nib at the bottom which is surrounded by a bronze metal cone. The bronze can be found on the cap fashioned as a clip and the trim band around the centre which has been engraved into with the Montegrappa brand name for subtle branding purposes. The Heartwood ballpoint pen comes equipped with a small leaf embossed notebook. On the day of purchase the ballpoint pen will come in a Montegrappa branded presentation box accompanied with a two year warranty booklet filled out on the day of purchase.

There is a small selection of fonts that will contain different character designs, and you may not like or approve of some of them. For example, in one of the fonts - 'Victoria' - the letter 'V' looks similar to the letter 'D' because of the italic serif design. Once an item has been engraved we cannot refund or exchange it, because we will not be able to resell an engraved item.
