The finely fluted barrel made of metal is lacquered in several elaborate working steps, with an innovative lacquer ensuring a long-lasting matte surface. The pen features a traditional fountain pen nib, made from 18K gold with an iridium tip which is a hard and dense metal. The barrel is Night Blue which is a navy colour and features a ribbed texture for a contemporary look; it is also broader than most Faber-Castell pens.
