The pen has a black plastic cone surrounding the nib and a grey transparent grip which is carved for comfort purposes. On the side of the cap there is a silver metal clip to secure into a pen case. The fountain pen nib is made from silver toned steel with the LAMY brand name engraved into it. There is a twist mechanism near the cone of the pen which unscrews so you can change the refill.
