The Montblanc John F. Kennedy (JFK) Special Edition writing instruments feature blue precious resin, which refers to his time as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Kennedy's initials 'JFK', have been carefully engraved into the platinum-plated clip on the cap of the pen. At the bottom of the cap which meets the barrel, there are three platinum-plated rings which signify Kennedy's three brothers; these can seen just above the 'Montblanc' engraved brand name. The fountain pen edition of the John F. Kennedy writing instruments, feature a delicately hand crafted nib which contains an engraving of the lunar module that landed on the moon in 1969.
