This Limited Edition 100 Montblanc Andy Warhol fountain pen features the iconic dollar signs (first exhibited 1928 in New York) encircling cap and barrel with a skeletonised framework outlining each dollar sign on the cap, embellished with the colourful dollar sign pattern. The bright blue of the barrel is characteristics of Warhol's intense use of colour. The clip is a reference to a silk screen printing squeegee. The shape of the cap and cone symbolize a can. The bar code placed on the cone refers to Andy Warhol's fascination with consumerism as well as to the time period (POP ART movement). One of his famous quotes is engraved on the cap top (in typeface Arial): "Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art". Honouring the legacy left behind by this extraordinary man, the handcrafted 750 gold nib is finely engraved with his portrait.
