This James Watt Limited Edition 35 Fountain Pen is for Montblanc's Atelier Privé range, launched in 2014. The skeleton overaly in three layers is inspired by James Watt's technical reinvention of the steam engine. The clip is shaped like Watts regulator with its double weights, designed to lift and move apart when in motion. The cap resembles a cylinder with its typical reinforcement rings. The rhodium coated Au750 solid gold nib is engraved with a horse referring to the power unit horse power Watt invented. His numerous patents and inventions to do with water and steam are represented by the water blue sapphires. The limitation 35 is in reference to his quote: "Es gibt nichts Törichteres im Leben als das Erfinden. Ich bin jetzt fünfunddreißig Jahre alt und habe der Welt noch nicht für fünfunddreißig Pennies genützt." This Montblanc limited edition 35 fountain pen comes in bespoke packaging and boxed.
