6th February 2022, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
To honour this anniversary Taylor's Port decided to bottle a Very Very Old Tawny Port. Limited to 2,000 bottles, this Very Very Old Tawny Port is an extraordinary wine.

- Ageing: This excellent Port is drawn from extensive reserves of the finest wood-aged wines, which have been maturing in seasoned oak casks since the Queen succeeded to the throne.

- Residual Sugar: 169 g/l (dm3).
- Total Acidity: 6.62g/l (dm3).
- Volume: 75 cl.
- How to Serve: Serve between 12-16°C.
- Storage Advice:This wine is ready to drink and does not require decanting. The bottle should be kept upright, protected from light and at a cool and constant temperature.
- Tasting Notes: Rich mahogany with a pale ochre rim. An opulent, heady nose overlaid with cigar box, roasted coffee, pressed rose petals and a hint of ginger. An intense, heather honey bouquet with some singed leather, scents of fine oak, five-spice and figs. The beautiful aromatic structure that dances on your nose entice you in for your first sip. On the palate wonderful concentration and bright, racy acidity. Notes of anise, marzipan, quince, scorched orange peel, molasses, cardamom and a subtle hint of butterscotch. The symphony of flavours that awaken your senses is precise, in balance and alluring. An astonishingly refined and well-formed mature tawny port. The perfect way to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
- Pairings: Taylor’s Very Very Old Tawny is an excellent accompaniment to many desserts. It combines well with flavours of figs, almonds and caramel. It pairs well with a crème brulée or a plate of wild strawberries. It may also be enjoyed on its own, at the end of the meal, with walnuts or dried fruit.
