This Master of Art, limited edition 77 fountain pen pays homage to Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky, born 16th December 1866, who was an influential Russian painter and art theorist. After spending many years honing his painting skills and trying to find his own style, Kandinsky painted one of the world’s first fully abstract paintings. The overall shape of the WI reflects on the one hand side the abstract, geometrical style - especially the cap - but on the other hand his Russian roots. The shape of the cone is a reminder of one of his early Moscow Church paintings and his Russian background. Skeletonized cap with 3D layered effect with blue, yellow and red lacquer inlay reference to his painting " Yellow-Red-Blue". His signature in black lacquer on the cap. The nib engraving represents the "K" his famous signature. The Artisan Edition is limited to 77 pieces in reference to his age when he died.
