The barrel is made from the shiny black plastic featuring a matt black cone surrounding the nib and complementing the shiny plastic beautifully. The grip of the pen is hexagonal shaped providing a comfortable feel. There is a cap that clips onto the pen which has a metal clip on the side of it perfect for securing into pen cases; this pen cap can go on the end of the pen when you are writing.
