The 2013 winemaking year proved a welcome reconnection with the glorious past of late-harvest vintages. After a cold, wet winter, spring was grey, quite cool and extremely rainy. The hot and dry summer that followed – the sunniest on record in the Champagne region – benefited the quality of the grapes.

On the Nose: Green notes – eucalyptus, mint and vetiver – combine with yellow-orange notes of mirabelle plums, apricots and orange blossom, along with pepper, cardamom and liquorice and ending with saline and toasty notes.

On the Palette: The mouthfeel is elegant, refined, silky and luxuriously simple, while the finish is dominated by a deep salinity.
