Montblanc’s Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection takes inspiration from Jules Verne’s renowned adventure novel, following the extraordinary journey of Phileas Fogg and his loyal companion, Passepartout. The Meisterstück Solitaire LeGrand Rollerball Pen commemorates the final leg of their adventure, from Yokohama to London via the United States, where much of their journey across the American continent takes place by train. Crafted with dark blue lacquer and platinum detailing, this distinctive Montblanc rollerball pen combines refined materials with intricate design elements inspired by the story.

A train is laser-engraved onto the cap, while a safety chain pattern on the cone recalls the dramatic moment when Passepartout detaches the train from the locomotive to protect the passengers during an attack by the Sioux. The cap and barrel feature detailed motifs inspired by the locomotive’s pressure valves and billowing smoke, capturing the movement and atmosphere of the journey. The platinum-coated clip is adorned with a red lacquered heart card suit, symbolising the union between Phileas Fogg and Princess Aouda, while the card suit motif also references Fogg’s daring wager to travel around the world in just 80 days. The cap top is engraved with “36 Days”, representing the final leg of the journey from Yokohama to London and marking the closing chapter of this literary adventure.
