This James Watt Limited Edition 35 Fountain Pen is for Montblanc's Artisan range, launched in 2015. Luciano Pavarotti, born in 1935 in Modena, was one of the most successful tenors of all time. The clip of Limited Edition 98 is inspired by scards, Pavarotti used to wrap around his neck. The cap and barrel with dragon design are inspired by the opera "Turandot" by Puccini; the aria "Nessun Dorma" became Pavarotti´s signature. The cap ring set with ornaments from the opera house of Modena and signature of Luciano Pavarotti. The cone is set with a white jade stone representing a white jasmine flowers as an important detail of "Turandot" and floral ornaments from the far east. The 5 lines on forepart are referring to the 5 circles of the famous "Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti" opera house of Modena. The nib is engraved with his portrait and is made with solid gold. The limited edition refers to the year Pavarotti received the Grammy legend award in 1998. This Montblanc limited edition 98 fountain pen comes in bespoke packaging and boxed.
Please note: This fountain pen is pre-loved and pre-owned and comes with its original box and packaging. We have polished and cleaned the fountain pen so it is now in perfect condition, equivalent to one that you would receive directly from Montblanc's factory in Hamburg, Germany!
